Michelle van der Plas graduated as a Director of Photography from HKU (Utrecht University of the Arts) in 2023. Michelle shoots narrative films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials. In addition to her experience as a D.O.P., Michelle is also experienced in the roles of 1st AC, 2nd AC, and lighting assistant."

'With my curious vision as a cinematographer, I pursue to get closer to the characters of each film, which I then translate to the movements, light and composition, deepening the layers of the stories told. Working with metaphors and a minimalistic cinematic style, I help the viewer to focus on the message of the film.'
